T-Systems installing and operating global high-performance networks for major international customers

Major international customers rely on T-Systems when it comes to setting up and operating their networks of the future. What makes the new high-performance networks special is that they use the Internet Protocol (IP) to transport voice and data end-to-end around the world on one platform. This includes key services such as e-mail, virus protection and the Outlook directory service, but also value-added services such as video conferences. The companies can connect additional field offices to their existing networks at any time.
On a course of expansion
TIGERWERK, a manufacturer of industrial powder coatings, paints and lacquers based in Austria, is optimizing its cross-border communications with a new voice and data network. The company will manage its production capacities at 15 sites in the Americas, Asia and Europe more efficiently over this network.
The Austrian Intermarket Bank, specializing in factoring, uses a high-performance network for internal communications, such as multimedia applications and telephone calls. In addition, it transmits data from all its sites in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and, in the future, also Slovenia to the T-Systems data center in Vienna via the network.
The Spanish automobile supplier Doga has transferred the management of its entire network to T-Systems. In addition to its five sites in Spain, Doga maintains offices in the United States, Brazil, Italy, France and China. Employees at these sites must exchange information and development engineers must collaborate across borders. T-Systems ensures that these processes function smoothly.
The NBC consulting company in South Africa has signed a five-year contract with T-Systems. The Deutsche Telekom subsidiary will provide a uniform network infrastructure, thus reducing NBC’s administrative expenses significantly. The new high-speed network makes it possible to prioritize data and to better exploit the full capacity of the lines. For instance, telephone calls have priority in the data traffic, which ensures better voice quality.
